Amen Colin, think about it One Quarter of the earths land mass was at one time ruled by a single Monarch.
No Republic can claim that feat (here in the U.S. was pander and give away land won by our hard earned blood and treasure)
Even those countries who are no longer part of the Empire are in much better straights than most (think Jordan and Syria, one a Monarchy the other Anarchy)
