It is bound to happen. My primary computing machine has gone KAPUT. I am hoping it is not too serious and can be fixed once I get back to civilization and can take it to the proper nerd shop, but for the time being my topic list, silly graphics and pre-done posts have said adieu. I will try to keep up best I can flying seat-of-the-pants but for someone who likes to have things planned out a considerable length ahead of time it is very disorienting. Nonetheless, while machine #2 holds up I shall struggle on best I can, appreciative of everyone's patience and understanding. With my dislike of modern machinery firmly reinforced I remain the very frustrated and very... Mad Monarchist.
Ah yes, modern machines. Making things 'better' by making them complicated (then again, those IT people need some way to justify their continued commercial existence).
I feel like that old eunuch and the bycicle in "The Last Emperor"; taking my bamboo stick and beating the infernal contraption shouting, "Foreign Devil! Trouble! Nothing but trouble!" -I don't know if it's foreign made but I wouldn't doubt it.
Your sentiments are very much appreciated. Could I wrap my damaged mind around I could probably carry on at least somewhat close to normal, but chalk it up to pig-headedness, I have a hard time doings things when I cannot do them the way I would like and I find it very difficult to diverge from my "system". The machine is currently being diagnosed, not by a computer specialist but he's a Technical Sergeant so I figure the "tech" part must mean something. Once I hear back from him, depending on the diagnosis I will try to get to the nearest city and have the nerds work it over.
It happens to us all. Best wishes with getting everything fixed!
