Royals at Eternal Rest

  1. How sad, all the greatness that is gone! If I look back I think you have pictures like this of all the kings but Leopold I. Continue and you will be the Macabre Monarchist! :-0

  3. Indeed. I put those three together expecting to hear from my two prominent Belgian readers. All three outstanding royal figures, intelligent, good-hearted and faithful.

  4. A shame there aren't to many respectable Australian Monarchists who aren't politicians. Ironic isn't it?

May these past sovereigns Rest in Peace in the greatest monarchy of all, the Kingdom of Heaven. You won't catch them resting in peace in a REPUBLIC!

  5. There's a strange story about Albert's passing. On the very afternoon of the tragedy, some important Belgian ecclesiastical figure was preaching on death, and told his audience that their King was sure to have an "admirable death" whenever his time came (it seems a bit out of place, to make such comments!). And he said this at the very hour that Albert is believed to have fallen from the cliffs, although, of course, people only heard the sad news later. Weird.

Whoever that "ecclesiastical figure" was, I would want to go to his church. The man obviously has "connections"!

  7. One of those uncanny happenings! I'll have to look it up when I get a chance and see who exactly it was. I read about it a while back and can't remember offhand.
