  2. Thank you for the link. I would have told you when I started but I just forgot about it. It was a decision in the moment.

  3. Well, it's official now, I got my first rude message - though not as good as your fan mail, M.M. I think you can guess the topic...But I went ahead and published it, it was just about on the edge of what I'll allow, and it was rather too good to miss.

  4. Well you have to tell me what it is -this I have to see. It is not so easy to guess (aside from the fact that these are usually irrational people) there are a number of Belgian royal figures I could imagine attracting attack (usually unjustified). It is hard for me to imagine though, even though you have dealt with some controversial figures, you always use such tact and politeness it is hard for me to imagine anyone leaving you a rude message.

  5. Somebody took great objection to the discussion of King Baudouin's visit to the Congo and told me: "You Manifest Destiny fans have alot of nerve." Funny, "Manifest Destiny" doesn't even have anything to do with Belgium...

  7. I see it now. What alot of nerve! I don't suppose it ever occurred to this person that all the moaning and groaning about colonialism might not belong on a post about the monarch who ended that system and gave them their independence?!

  8. And I love the way these people are always "Anonymous." It doesn't look very courageous to insult someone and then sign it "Anonymous."
