It is sad news, but hardly surprising given that it is Iran. However, have you noticed how strangely silent the news Media is on it? Had th4ey been two Democracy advocates who had been killed, I beleive they'd be on all the news outlets as Martyrs agsint the yranny that is Iran. But who has tin for a Monarcist?
Even in coverage, at least in the US, everything worked against them. They were pro-monarchy (strike one), the Obama administration has been very reluctant to openly condemn Iran (strike two) and it's done the day after the State of the Union Address (strike three). If anyone gave the crime any coverage at all I would have been very surprised.
Well that doesn't really surprise me, I was thinking more like coverage on the nightly news, CNN or FNC. That would surprise me, or if someone from the administration said anything about it. I do wonder who the monarchist group these men belong to supported. A restoration of the Pahlavis or the Qajars or something new?
