Even in the absolute monarchies of old wherein one did not have all the 'rights' we have today, they actually had more freedom because they had more independence and if you are independent you naturally have freedom. Today, on the other hand, we have alot of 'rights' but we have a state that is bent on making everyone, often through those very 'rights', more dependent on the government and that equals very little real freedom at all.MadMonarchisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08083008336883267870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-22037140967205306052010-03-24T13:29:21.793-05:002010-03-24T13:29:21.793-05:00The Irony is that, as a Monarhcist I am often todl...The Irony is that, as a Monarhcist I am often todl I want the Governemtn to be all encompasing and to control every aspect of ur lives. However, if socialism is defined as government control of key industries -the US is there. I've also said for a long time the US is in some ways (and name about any other country as well) already communist because no one can own property. Now, before anyone cries foul, let me explain; if you *own* something you do not have to continue to pay for it. So, if you think you really own your own property, see what happens when you stop paying your property taxes. So does anyone own property or do we just rent it from the government with said government being allowed to raise the rent whenever they so choose?MadMonarchisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08083008336883267870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-3923386163884060652010-03-24T08:41:23.673-05:002010-03-24T08:41:23.673-05:00"...they have got their foot in the door whic..."...they have got their foot in the door which will lead to outright socialism."

I rarely disagree with you but I must ask, if the United States is not socialist at what point would one be able to say it is?Fredricknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-26240201759904867002010-03-23T08:08:24.600-05:002010-03-23T08:08:24.600-05:00They probably should but coming from where it does...They probably should but coming from where it does I don't really expect it. As far as the White Army goes, much as I wish it were otherwise, the description is fairly accurate. Opposition to the Bolsheviks was about the only thing all factions had in common. They were not all monarchists; though the core probably was, but there were many divisions between those who wanted to restore the autocracy, those who wanted a constitutional monarchy, those who wanted a more western style republic and even some who were just more moderate socialists than the Reds were.

I think the overall theme was to convey the message that without individual rights and freedoms the people (in whose name the communist cause is ever advanced) become just so many cogs in the wheel of state, fuel for the government machine.MadMonarchisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08083008336883267870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-9280975505924299272010-03-23T02:53:38.465-05:002010-03-23T02:53:38.465-05:00You are likely right about that, but don't you...You are likely right about that, but don't you think that some mention of hte Tzar should be made when discussing the 1917 Revolution?

Woerse, they described the White Guard as neing Anti-Communist but made no mention of hem being for the Restoration of the Tzars. How can you menion the White Guard and not menion the Tzarist Cause they fought for?

Here is a link to the comic.

http://www.archive.org/stream/ThisGodlessCommunism/treasure2#page/n0/mode/2up

Of course it also includes Communist leaders openly declaring that they oppose freedom or acknowledgign other nations as Free as opposed to their own, and seems not to bother with describing the actual Philosophical basis of Communism. (Which is also understandable as Communists see themselves as creating a True Democracy, and the Comic Book, along with most Americans, wants to contrast Communism with Democracy.)

Whule te facts are Nominally accurate, the Comic Book is sort of like a Chick Tract in that it disorts the image in order to present a heavy handed, wholly one sided view. Not that I support Communism, but the book opens by tellign us to examine its teachings, and hten forets the whole basis of Communist teaching and as a result neglects to tell why Marx got followers or what the whole goal of Communism was.

and yes I realise the Irony of saying its ike a Chick Tract while acknowledging it is a Catholic Comic Book.ZAROVEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17668854596329493360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-29628798305094041272010-03-22T21:51:23.134-05:002010-03-22T21:51:23.134-05:00It might be more sloppy and misleading that actual...It might be more sloppy and misleading that actually intentionally deceptive. If they are speaking of the communists, yes, they did not overthrow the Tsar themselves, the Bolsheviks overthrew the Kerensky regime that was in power after the Tsar had abdicated. That was nominally a representative government I suppose. The US in any event was very unfriendly to say the least toward the Tsar -one reason for putting off entry into WW1 was that Wilson was afraid to appear as coming to the aid of an autocrat. What is really rich is that when the US faced the greatest threat and most terrible war in her history (the War Between the States) it was the Tsar of Russia who was about the only major European leader to be on the side of the US rather than the CS. That's gratitude for you I guess...MadMonarchisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08083008336883267870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-1674110435604626612010-03-22T21:32:08.338-05:002010-03-22T21:32:08.338-05:00OH AND! From a Monarhist View, it si particulalry interestign to note that apparently the Revolution in Russia in 1917 over threw a Representitive Government. There was no mentiin whatsoever of the Tzar! It may be unpopular now but the Republicans ar eunlikely to truly fight to repeal it, and once Impelmented it wil become s matter of course, and the next steppign stone towards a Socialist State. Lennin I beleive said that we'd demand to be Communist one day, and he may have been right.

This Legislation, pased on a Sunday of all days, simly exists to ensue Governmental Dependancy and thus secure a Vision of Amerca that embraes all the Radical Beleifs of the 1960's Era Philosophers and Academics hwo taught todays Politicians. Communism teaches that we are all Equa and thus deservant of Equal pay, Equal services, and Equal standing, so we get everyone elses wealth distributed Equally.

Its the highst form of Democracy, a Classless society in which all are Equalised by the State, which itself is a Peoples Governent.

How can a Republic, that turns into a Democracy, really resist?ZAROVEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17668854596329493360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-5014398440418603792010-03-22T11:45:06.058-05:002010-03-22T11:45:06.058-05:00The problem is that the right-wing parties are so ...The problem is that the right-wing parties are so frequently afraid of speaking against popular but wrong left-wing policies. I see it in my country, where the left-wing parties have almost re-written history (conservatives are the villains and commies are the heroes) and led the country to a state of moral decline that has really impressed me for how fast it has been. Luckily, we are not a welfare state, but during the last 20 years under a left-wing coalition we almost become one.
What also surprises me about how the media groups deliver the news of the health reform is that they don't tell what it is about but only focus on the political problems between Republicans and Democrats and the inside debate within the Democratic Party. I hope FOX News make their work tirelessly denouncing what this is all about.

JorgeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-47827201692705781042010-03-22T10:40:01.124-05:002010-03-22T10:40:01.124-05:00I do worry about that. I know alot of people think that Obama and the Democrats are digging their own political graves with this radical agenda but I cannot be so confident. With their army of ACORN-brownshirts, their union/soviet support, total control of the media, etc and now making even more people very dependent on the government they are not going to be easy to defeat by any stretch of the imagination, especially when the Republicans so often accept these things once they have been put in place. Right now my immediate hope is that the states will defy the law.MadMonarchisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08083008336883267870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-43518133154501254292010-03-22T10:19:48.294-05:002010-03-22T10:19:48.294-05:00It is a proven fact that countries that embrace a ...It is a proven fact that countries that embrace a welfare state end having big problems. Sweden is the best example. I sincerely hope that this is not the beginning of a new USA. With this healthcare reform and the obvious media propaganda canonizing Obama, the Democrats may be in power for a lot longer than 8 years (if Obama is reelected). Republicans must take immediate and strong action and promote new young and charismatic leaderships to counterbalance these Communists.
I used to think of the US as a Communism-free land, but clearly I was wrong. What a sad day.

JorgeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
