They can be very religious and very Anticatholic. One pastor of them visited Rome, said he saw a statue of Christ SOMEWHERE, lost amid idolatrous statues of "Mary with the boy child" ... it did not occur to him that the "boy child" in question was Christ!

I forgot a fourth one, religious Lutherans, though I was one myself shortly before becoming Catholic in my late teens (though the conversion was protracted till I was 20).

The two others are Muslim immigrants and - probably, I am not sure - part of the Jewry in Malmö and in Stockholm.Hans Georg Lundahlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01055583255516264955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-39760531793259434452014-01-13T14:36:26.611-06:002014-01-13T14:36:26.611-06:00There are of course individuals of every variety. ...There are of course individuals of every variety. On the whole, however, Sweden is a mostly non-religious country (other than the Muslim immigrants) which is not too different from most of Europe at this point and western Europe in particular.MadMonarchisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08083008336883267870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-87132112370635282772014-01-13T14:33:31.527-06:002014-01-13T14:33:31.527-06:00Thanks for the reminder. I hope to do that but it will be a "while" as I have three others already done, a fourth half done (actually written a long time ago just needs updating & dusted off) and I like to space them out somewhat for the benefit of those who don't really care about anything involving Texas. However, you have reminded me so it will be on my list, I will try to get to that and it probably won't be the last (that will probably be Spain since that's the monarchy that Texas has had the most history with).MadMonarchisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08083008336883267870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-63457165675173529052014-01-13T13:25:33.574-06:002014-01-13T13:25:33.574-06:00Very good but when does Norway get her turn as one...Very good but when does Norway get her turn as one of the "Royal Friends of Texas"? The Norwegian Society of Texas and the towns of Clifton and Norge would like to know very much. So do I! I was born in Texas and my mother's father's family was from Norway. The world needs to know that not all the Norwegians went to the Dakotas, Minnesota and Wisconsin and that some of them did go to Texas, even before it was a Republic!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-46537248640848902372014-01-11T17:40:45.273-06:002014-01-11T17:40:45.273-06:00I live in California and when I was growing up I k...I live in California and when I was growing up I knew a host of Swedish persons who were all radical Christians with a faith in Jesus Christ. I realize that Sweden in its whole is not Christian, but perhaps many are but not so vocal.a joyful noisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08712092116466408490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-19573625948523068732014-01-10T10:15:20.103-06:002014-01-10T10:15:20.103-06:00Excellent information. The general assumption these days is that "Lutherans" are of German background and so all of us - Croat, Wendish, Norwegian, and now I learn also Swedish, were subsumed into that myth. Its so good to see an article which sheds light on the truth. Thank you.The Crazy Californian Croatian American https://www.blogger.com/profile/08344886945493646759noreply@blogger.com
