I am a published aviation historian currently working on a history of the central powers air services in ww1. At a young age (26) and having completed the transformation of political understanding from buying the American propaganda at a young age I was taught growing up, to discovering that both political parties are controlled by the special interests and therefore supporting a third party (libertarian) to then understanding that getting rid of political parties is like cutting grass there will always be new corruption and special interests destroying a country in a republican form of government. So I have come full circle to become a constitutional monarchist (although I believe two house parliaments are necessary but there should be further checks and balances to guard against corruption in the parliament ie Monarch veto power AND to guard the citizenry from any possible despotic monarch, have a built in check and balance where a general election on any issue can be raisedif a certain % of petition on an issue are formed.. and the monarchs decision could only be overturned on 3/4 vote from the public in a general election. It would be hard for special intertests to buy off 3/4 of the public... So basically the monarch has most power, the parliament has the smallest and the public thru direct democracy in general election has the opportunity to override the monarch only with a 3/4 vote which would only happen if the monarch is clearly doing some wrongdoing... for the whole process to be completed to override the monarch (petition, election and 3/4 vote) an elected body like parliament (or the filthy congress in the usa) is the easiest to be corrupted and must have has little power as possible. With checks and balances like that the country's best interest is always om the agenda and the monarch has most power only to be overruled by a ridiculous majority which could clearly only happen if wrong choices are being made and most importantly the representatives in parliament are completely limited and restricted so special interests cannot influence policy. When will you be publishing the Japanese military history mentioned in the above article????Matt Bowdenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17527915762147086506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-16024821158882991952013-11-07T15:31:17.246-06:002013-11-07T15:31:17.246-06:00Many wanted to do even worse but thankfully Genera...Many wanted to do even worse but thankfully General Doug had more sense. However, you should 'stay tuned' because next month there will be a post detailing just how there came to be a world war in Asia in the first place and, just a hint, Japan was not at fault.MadMonarchisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08083008336883267870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-4086391536616440742013-11-07T09:30:06.701-06:002013-11-07T09:30:06.701-06:00Excellent Point!! As an avid fan of the Japanese monarchy and Imperial Japanese history, it frustrates me how much the glory of the former Japanese empire is nearly non-existent, especially after what those vulgar Americans did after WWII.. who did they think they were to go there and change their system which had been running far longer than when America's first State even existed!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03422836621869230085noreply@blogger.com
