My point is that, essentially, the symbolism of baptism is best represented when children are baptized (not that it is not when adults are baptized). We all enter the kingdom of heaven like children, after all.

In a similar manner, what better expressed loyalty to God, King, and Country than serving a child monarch? It doesn't really make much practical sense, which is why we put regencies in place for practical affairs. But it isn't about making much practical sense, is it? It's about loyalty to Crown & Country. That's why the regency rules in the name of the child monarch, usually can't make changes that are very radical in form, and cannot take any action that would harm the child monarch, as many traitorous relatives have attempted to do by seizing control of the throne for themselves during a King's minority (like Richard III). There is probably a special place in hell reserved for those traitors. nate895https://www.blogger.com/profile/05539361477170574108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-34706963489568709262014-04-26T23:18:09.120-05:002014-04-26T23:18:09.120-05:00There have been some exemplary Kings as children w...There have been some exemplary Kings as children who grew up exemplary as adult kings, like James II of Scotland.

There have been some who were exemplary as children, who became horrible adult kings, like Richard Ii.

And then there have bern those who were good & bad both as adults & children, lij e Louis XIV.

So it goes to say that child or adult, they can be good or bad, or a mixture of both. I don't think age of yhe monarch matters. It's what's in the monarch's heart.

Though in general a child monarch can cause problems for its country (ala King Alonzo of Spain - King Juan Carlos' grandfather).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-72876054295254804322014-04-24T14:54:29.464-05:002014-04-24T14:54:29.464-05:00There was, as I recall, at least one translation w...There was, as I recall, at least one translation which said it in those words, that it is bad when the King is "childish", so that may well be. I've certainly seen some children who behaved more maturely than some adults.MadMonarchisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08083008336883267870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-3004227457030019342014-04-24T13:01:03.034-05:002014-04-24T13:01:03.034-05:00This is an excellent article indeed. I wonder if Ecclesiastes 10:16 also has a figurative element to it wherein adults who live and rule like children are dangerous.
