Man...I don't have much time for sedevacantists. Many claim to be monarchists but in my experience most are "theoretic" monarchists at best, meaning they claim to uphold the principle but don't actually support any monarchs in the world currently reigning. Non-Catholics need not be considered at all and even among the Catholic monarchs they seem to regard all of them as illegitimate in some way or another.MadMonarchisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08083008336883267870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-57058345078266224852011-03-23T23:22:12.513-05:002011-03-23T23:22:12.513-05:00Hmmm ... I would have been one of those saying, 'If man were meant to fly he'd have been born with wings'. I prefer seemingly absurd religious explanations over scientific ones. However, I do agree that there should be no coflict because I am also an absolutist in as much as I think there is truth and then all that is not true. I can't stand those who prattle on about "your truth" and "my truth" ... there is THE truth and that's it.MadMonarchisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08083008336883267870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-40383385902802749772011-03-18T06:53:41.042-05:002011-03-18T06:53:41.042-05:00In 1899 he solemnly dedicated the whole of humanit...In 1899 he solemnly dedicated the whole of humanity to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and taught that there should be no conflict between Christianity and science.

He tried to crush the conflict thesis early. Alas, the Protestants couldn't let it go. Still, it does give me, a Catholic physicist, something to laugh about when others remark on it, for a God of the Gaps is a poor man's god.Professor Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00659779116600213901noreply@blogger.com
