They died and the same is said of Rome and even Macedon before that because if Charlemagne had married his daughters off to princes in England and Norway and Sweden at that time as well as other royal families then there is no tell how long the Holy Roman empire could have lasted. Having no sons or daughter does more harm than good. The Eastern Roman empire also had a lack of good kings and queens given that there was so much back stabbing because a good royal line would have helped them out a lot. The best Example of marriage between empires is Austria Hungry.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-73975363910181870332015-02-16T16:28:44.723-06:002015-02-16T16:28:44.723-06:00Non-hereditary monarchies are not what I would con...Non-hereditary monarchies are not what I would consider ideal, just from a practical POV it seems to be too conducive to intrigue and division. However, it has been done in a few places and to an extent still exists today in Cambodia. As for Kansas, there's no "beef" on my part, just a long-running joke (though I don't know how many people have persisted here long enough to know about it). It stems from a few instances of people complaining that I was displaying lewd materials, one even saying I had scarred his children because they caught a glimpse in a video of a girl's tummy and thighs. Another involved an Indian princess who was wearing an 'off-the-shoulder' dress. Each such complaint came from someone from Kansas so it gave the impression of Kansas residents being excessively prudish. Obviously, not everyone is like that but as it has been my experience it became a sort of inside joke. There is certainly no genuine animosity behind it.MadMonarchisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08083008336883267870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8783969302315257415.post-91372305366705761382015-02-16T14:32:50.997-06:002015-02-16T14:32:50.997-06:00This is a very cool article, also I am just curiou...This is a very cool article, also I am just curious, what is your opinion on non hereditary monarchs?
